In Term 2 we were learning a lot about movie magic, and how movies can influence our world. We created many movies. We started by brainstorming key messages we could include in our movies.
We also made a movie that explains how to plant kumara. It was really fun to do. We created this movie to inspire people to learn how to grow their own kumara.
Our movie for The Manaiakalani Film Festival is called 'School Is Cool'. We made it to share all of the cool learning and fun that we have at school.
Our movie was also shown at the Tamaki Primary Academy Awards. We created a PMI about Movie Magic and shared what we liked, what was challenging and interesting.

Tiere - Guy Fawkes
Guy Fawkes
As the moon kisses goodbye to the sun,I could see a tsunami of fireworks forming a colourful rainbow in the sky.I could see smiles on little kids faces playing with sparkle sparks.I can see a festival of colour exploding through the air.
I felt excited when the fireworks were ready to explode through the sky like a shooting star.I felt motivated as the fireworks sizzled through a new world where there are sparks of joy.As I gazed up at the sky wandering what it would be like to be a firework.
Pew,Pew I could hear the fireworks exploding air wanting to meet the stars.I could hear a crackling sound coming from the BBQ grill.I could hear my my stomach rubling and my mouth dribling as I stared at the BBQ.I could taste the ash of the smoke from the fireworks I could taste fresh breezy air.As I fell asleep,I was dreaming about being a firework.

My Holiday Description
Visiting the caves in Auckland, near the mountains, was one of the things I did in the school holidays. We had to take torches and wear suitable shoes so we couldn’t get cut from the glass that was smashed on the ground.I went with all of my family so that we could discover what happened while they were getting ready for war.We discovered guns and the gunpowder they used in the war and one of the places where they practised was a place where they practice shooting their enemy to get better at aiming.
On saturday morning my big brother Kamaka broke his leg from rugby. There was a small crack on his bone so then he could not walk. When we went to the doctors to get the cast they offered us some crutches and my dad said he had some at my granddads. We went to my grandad’s house and we took the crutches back home for my brother. I had an awesome day and dinner was delicious.
The End.
